Our 90+ Year History
In 1932, Sam Snookal rented a truck to start a business in Los Angeles the same year his daughter was born. Our proud heritage of quality service was also born that year, and the operation has remained in the family ever since.
Sam realized early on that controlling the quality of the laundry process was essential to continued success. American Textile Maintenance Company has run on the principle that the needs of the customer are paramount. There are two business operations for the parent company – Medico Professional Linen Service and Republic Master Chefs – and both uphold the family traditions of providing quality service to specialized industries.
Medico is also now part of the MEDtegrity Medical Laundry Network, an alliance of independent linen supply companies that provide apparel and textile services to healthcare facilities across the U.S.
